Formulation and stability - Biological Molecules

Our laboratory at the Pharmacy Practice Unit in Liverpool, has a growing expertise in the analysis and extended stability testing of compounded biological molecule formulations including monoclonal antibodies. The analytical team has graduate post graduate and post doctorate expertise engaged in studies in collaboration with NHS, commercial organisations and clinical trial organisations. The laboratories are equipeed with state of the art HPLC/SEC, PAGE (electrophoresis), Capillary Electrophoresis, sub-visible particulate analyser and  ELISA. Cellular bioassays are conducted with a sub-contract research laboratory .  A description of the specific challenges  faced in this type of work is presented here.
